Mechanics & Inner Workings

Each page is written in a clear script suspected to be a dead language. Incantations, rituals, rites, diagrams, star charts, and a dark zodiac have been noted within the tome. Most pages are bound to the book's spine, but many pages were sewn in and carefully stitched together with relevant pages, creating fold outs further detailing and noting specifications or alterations to the spells as time goes on. Each time the book appears in history, it has more to it's contents.

Significance

The necromancer's tome has caused havoc through the years. Of note, it has appeared every time the sighting of vampires increased from none to at least one. Disappearances have been recorded around the same time as well as strings of unsolved murders, dead livestock left in gruesome and unnatural states, and entire villages mysteriously going empty.

The Necromancer's Tome is the only one confirmed to be in existence. While there may be knock offs or sections of the book out there from it's travels, there is only one true tome.

Raw materials & Components

The cover is comprised of Cypress, wrapped in a dark leather, decorated with small bones and precious stones. The pages are vellum made from the skin of various humanoid beings, written in a special ink formulated with blood and several unidentified minerals. The organic materials used, except for the Cypress wood, belong to victims of the Necromancer and further owners of the tome. The emotional state and focus on the murderer from the victim link the perpetrator to the book. The minerals used in the ink are known to have conductive properties for magics and energies. Even the stones on the front are known for holding a magical charge. The perfect storm to host a soul.
