Fall of Kazan

General Summary

Continuing their extraction of Lu Shin from the southern half of Kriata, the infected half. The party sails about one league out of the Kriatian harbour testing the effect of the separation of Lu Shin from the hoard of infected Wrack spawn. Finding the girl to become weaker and weaker the further they got away they decided to send Kazan and Sylva back to see the effect on the Wrack spawn them selves.
During this investigation the duo ventured behind the protective barricade, noticing that the Wrack spawn seemed less active. In an attempt to capture one of the creatures they angered the hoard and in the following chase and fight Kazan fell to one of the creatures. Transforming himself as one of them, despite his Tiefling ancestry. Sylva maneges to subdue the now crazed Kazan and returns with his transformed companion back to the salty sparrow , to inform the rest of the party of the events that had just transpired.
Gathering the rest of the plague council the party informs them of their findings and the los of Kazan. Fujima Erena tries to restore Kazan's soul to his body but her efforts are in vain. Seemingly his soul as well as those of all other infected are some how tied to Lu Shin, as now Kazan's voice can be heard in the mind of Lu. The council sees tree paths forward, killing Lu Shin in the hope that this will release the souls and end the plague. Devising a ritual to separate the souls from Lu Shin in order to restore them to their bodies. Or trying to separate Lu Shin from the spawn so much that their link is severed.
In order for them to make a more informed decision they decide to more research is needed. Careful to not break the quarantine they all rest a night on the island of Argusima after placing Kazan in the holding cell of a guard post on the evacuated island. During the night Sylva is granted a vision in a dream, Silva's dream 16 Ninui 878 O.V.. Making sure none of them are infected Sylva uses his divine abilities to detect any disease among them, none appear to be infected. Sending the salty sparrow of the coast, with Lu still onboard, in order to keep the seperation of her with the spawn as large as possible.
