Lord of Light

The Lord of Light, often hailed as the "Wellspring of Existence" and the "Architect of the Cosmos," is the singular deity worshiped by the followers of the Holy Flame. According to the sacred texts of the Book of Light, before the cosmos was shaped, there was only the void—a boundless, formless expanse. From this nothingness, the Lord of Light's voice emerged as a radiant singularity, speaking the first words that sparked the creation of the universe.

Creation and Dominion

It was through His divine word that the elements were born—light from darkness, life from stillness. The Lord of Light crafted the world with a thought, shaped its landscapes with a whisper, and filled it with a myriad of creatures by merely speaking their names into existence.

The Divine Silence and Return

The Lord of Light's narrative contains themes of divine silence and eventual re-engagement with the world. After the creation, the Lord of Light withdrew from the world, observing the unfolding of the cosmos from His celestial abode. His silence was a test of faith, a divine decree to see whether His creations could thrive in wisdom and righteousness without His constant presence.   However, as the Ethyri Empire's tyranny spread, the Lord of Light chose to intervene indirectly by appointing the prophets. It was then that He sent visions and divine agents to guide Elysara, Isendur, and the Mystic Theurge, setting them on their paths to establish the Holy Flame.

Teachings and Commandments

The Lord of Light’s teachings oppose the arcane rule of the Ethyri Empire, advocating for a society where justice, compassion, and knowledge prevail. His commandments are inscribed in the Book of Light, the central religious text of the Holy Flame, penned under divine inspiration by the Mystic Theurge.

Symbols and Signs

The Lord of Light is symbolized by the Eternal Flame—a continuous, undying fire that represents divine presence, guidance, and the perpetual fight against darkness. This flame burns in every temple of the Holy Flame, a constant reminder of the Lord’s watchful eyes and warm embrace.
