Orscia. He was elected at the most recent Kingsmoot in the year 939 of the
Divine Age, largely due to his reputation as a unifier who has successfully managed to balance the interests of the various Houses with wisdom and fairness. His reign has been marked by efforts to enhance trade, bolster military defenses, and maintain peace within the realm, adhering closely to
Orscia's motto, “United as One, Greater than the Sum."
Physical Description
High King Edric Thornhart is a man in his late forties, standing at an imposing height of 6 feet 2 inches. He has a strong, broad-shouldered build, reflective of his years spent training in the martial traditions of his House. His hair, once a deep chestnut color, has begun to show distinguished streaks of silver, especially at the temples, lending him an air of wisdom and authority. His eyes are a striking green, sharp and perceptive, often softening when he smiles, which he does warmly yet sparingly.
Edric’s face is rugged, marked by a few scars from his younger days as a warrior, including a notable one that runs down his left cheek, a memento from a skirmish during his leadership of House Thornhart’s forces. His skin is weathered, tanned by years of riding and commanding in the open fields of his homeland.
In terms of attire, High King Edric prefers functional yet regal garments. He typically wears a finely crafted tunic of deep blue or forest green—colors of House Thornhart—under a lightweight, ornately engraved breastplate when in public. For formal occasions, he dons a flowing cloak with the sigil of Orscia embroidered in gold, signifying his status as the High King.
