Justlight, God of Justice and Light

Justlight by AuthorChase on Heroforge
Knowler founded the Paladin Oath, but Justlight took over as leader when he created the Justice Paladins. He led the Oath with conviction and a good heart. The Light Paladins and Justice Paladins followed him faithfully until Strection began his tyranny.
History

Paladin Oath by AuthorChase on Drawshield
During Astnyr's early stages of becoming a populated realm, the founders established the Paladin Oath alongside the Clerical Infirmary. Both Paladins and Clerics helped build other villages with Beight, who built Craftport and Lovers Retreat. When Beight returned to Hystoria to assist Knowler, the Paladins and Clerics stayed in Craftport. This was to build their own home, separate from the growing city of the Scholars and Wizards. They built an infirmary and a military base within Craftport and helped any traveler who passed them by.
When Seaport was constructed, the majority of the Paladin Oath members were sent there by their leaders to ensure the safety of the citizens. Some Paladins and all Clerics continued to protect the citizens in Craftport. However, a time came when the Justice Paladins all over Astnyr revolted against the Paladin Oath to follow Strection's example. Without these Paladins, the Light Paladins Justlight continued to lead were helpless to stop their fellows from leaving.
Oath Father/Mother

The commander of the Paladin Oath was called the Oath Father or Mother. Coordinating Paladins for deployment and supply management was the responsibility of this role. The Oath Father/Mother was the first to tell Justlight of any events or battles that needed to take place. That was when Justlight would join them in battle, putting his judgements on hold.
There were no restrictions on who could become Oath Father/Mother. Both Light Paladins and Justice Paladins could attain this role. However, it would affect how they coordinate in a battlefield or during Justlight's judging.
Light Paladin

The Light Paladins commanded holy magic. Their military power was approximately 7,000 Paladins. The swords and shields they used defended the citizens of Astnyr faithfully. Light Paladins had their talismans. They received the talismans from their chosen god as symbols. Paladins used these talismans during impossible times and battles to gain powers from their chosen god. Nave could gift a Paladin the power of nature, and Knowler could gift knowledge.
Light Paladins trained for battle and support. Some had different requirements to graduate than others, depending on their chosen god. They communed with each god's animal forms. For example, Knowler's animal form was the Raven, Nave's was a Bear, and Beight's was a Swan. Some said Light Paladins walked in druidism because of this, but the sheer physical and holy power they had didn't deem them as such.
There were three training segments all Light Paladins must endure. These were weapons, holy magic, and talisman training. Weapons training handled their two-handed greatswords. They learned how to wield them effectively and to decimate their enemies. Holy magic training was a component of Beight's own light. Her holy light guided all the Light Paladins. Last, talisman training was preparing for their talisman creation. This was when trainees commune with the animal's representative of their chosen god. Only the trainees with the best of intentions could complete this part of the training.
Justice Paladins

Justice Paladins commanded justice magic. Their military power was approximately 5,000 Paladins. This increased after Strection began his tyranny. They defended and attacked with their greatswords to protect what they thought was right. Justice Paladins were gifted plate armor infused with the power of justice magic. The god of light and justice, Justlight, was the one who infused this armor for the Paladins. The armor assisted the Justice Paladins to help Justlight with his tasks, as well as protecting the Paladins from evil or gray morals.
Justice Paladins trained in the judge's art. Justlight taught this specific training himself, as there was no better teacher than the judge of Astnyr himself. There was other training these Paladins had to complete, but this was where most of it came to fruition.
There were three training aspects Justice Paladins endured. They were weapons training, ethics, justice magic. The weapons training comprised greatsword procedures. All Paladins should know how to use and fight with their greatswords, as this was their preferred weapon. Ethics training had the trainees go through multiple scenarios that Justlight faced daily. This included past judging cases, as well as current dilemmas of the realm. If trainees could not demonstrate unbiasedness and make the most ethical decisions, they were dropped from training. Justice magic training had Justlight taught them how to use these magics. Justlight measured trainees' magical potential and taught them magic.
