Dragon Domain

Dragons are among the most powerful beings in existence, worshiped as gods, rulers, or ancestors by countless cultures. Clerics of the Dragon Domain serve these mighty beings, whether as their emissaries, priests, or students of their ancient wisdom. Some clerics revere a specific dragon deity, while others follow an individual dragon who has ascended to near-divine status.   The nature of a Dragon Domain cleric depends on the dragons they serve. A cleric of Thryaxyz upholds justice and protection, while one who follows Naromikia may spread conquest and tyranny. A cleric devoted to Varsyzi might wield psionic power, while those following the ferrous dragons may see themselves as enforcers of law. Some dragon-worshiping cultures venerate the draconic ideal itself—the embodiment of magic, might, and majesty.   Regardless of their allegiances, Dragon Domain clerics wield the ancient magic of dragons, channeling their elemental fury, immense presence, and unbreakable resilience. They speak with a dragon’s voice, command arcane forces with natural ease, and can breathe destruction upon their foes.

Draconic Blessing

1st-Level Cleric (Dragon Domain) Feature   Your connection to draconic power grants you natural resilience and arcane understanding. You gain the following benefits:
  • You learn High Draconic if you don’t already know it. When you speak High Draconic, your voice carries the authoritative resonance of a dragon.
  • When you cast a spell that deals acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, psychic, radiant, or thunder damage, you can change the damage type to one of your choice from this list. Once you make this choice, you cannot change it until you finish a long rest. You can do this a number of times equal to your Cleric Power Reservoir, regaining all uses when you finish a long rest.
  • You have resistance to the damage type chosen for this feature.

Channel Divinity: Dragon’s Roar

2nd-Level Cleric (Dragon Domain) Feature   You can use your Channel Divinity to unleash the terrifying presence of a dragon. As an action, you let out a draconic roar imbued with divine power. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that can hear you must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature is Frightened of you for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.   If a creature succeeds on its saving throw, it is immune to this effect for 24 hours.

Wings of the Dragon

6th-Level Cleric (Dragon Domain) Feature   You can call upon the might of dragons to grant you temporary flight. As a bonus action, you sprout spectral dragon wings, granting you a flying speed of 30 feet for 10 minutes. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.   At 14th level, your wings become permanent, and you can fly at will.

Potent Spellcasting

8th-Level Cleric (Dragon Domain) Feature   You add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip you cast.

Draconic Ascension

17th-Level Cleric (Dragon Domain) Feature   Your connection to draconic power reaches its peak, granting you the might of a true dragon. You gain the following benefits:
  • Legendary Resistance (1/Day): If you fail a saving throw, you can choose to succeed instead.
  • Draconic Breath: When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that deals acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, psychic, radiant, or thunder damage that requires a saving throw, you can choose to exhale the energy in a 30-foot cone instead of its normal effect. Each creature in the cone must make the saving throw against the spell. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Cleric Power Reservoir, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
