Unity of Riedra
The Unity of Riedra rules much of the continent of Sarlona on Eberron. It is ruled by the Inspired, mortal vessels for strange but powerful beings called the Quori who saved the land from a brutal civil war 1500 years ago. The Unity is a theocracy, the only permissible faith being the Path of Inspiration. Inhabitants are predominantly human, but also include changelings and shapeshifters, some giants and ogres, and dark-dwarves. Psychic prowess is prized as much as the arcane, and many rulers and all Inspired are powerfully psychic beings.
While technology has never interested the Quori to a great extent, they have come to appreciate its efficiency. Vast industrial hubs have begun to spring up in city centers, where factories of alien design churn out enchanted equipment, powerful magical artifacts, and Soil.
