Kyra has a natural talent for hiding games. When I asked her how she could always find me so fast she just laughed and called me silly.  

I was tucking Kyra in last night when she looked out the window and told me plainly that Orius was stand too close to the river. I asked her what she meant, the river was a good distance away, and Orius was probably tucked into his bed. She shrugged sleepily and drifted off. I shrugged it off too.

This early this morning, before the sun had truly risen, I woke to the screams of a terrified mother. Orius was missing. I gently woke Kyra and asked if she wanted to play another hiding game. Told her Orius was already hiding and we were the seekers. She excitedly wander down towards the river. I hoped her happiness meant something more than just hope. We walked for 15 minutes before Kyra started to make a beeline towards a log near the river bank.
Curled up against the log, soaked and shivering was Orius. He must have been here lost, all night. I scooped him up and told Kyra to run ahead and tell his mother we found him.
I sat her down later and asked her to explain exactly what she does to find people so well. She told me that she just follows the people-shapes. She sees the world differently than everyone else.
I knew what it was, and I knew we couldn't stay here anymore.
My wife's family had always wanted us to move to her hometown in Kymenos. I wonder if they knew something I didn't.
I think Kyra will like it there.

Affected Groups

The Abilities Register reports a significant increase in abilities from those related to or originating from, Kymenos. The number of those with abilities in Kymenos is unknown, due do their lack of cooperation with the Temple Loyalists

History

Kyra was discovered to have the Ability to sense the world around her in great accuracy without needing to see.

Cultural Reception

When the condition first emerged it was best and easiest to keep it hidden. Now with the growing number of Abilities and more obvious signs, the Kingdom, under the guidance of The Atherus Temples and its people, fear and distrust those with Abilities.
