Transit Token

This Token grants the owner Two (2) transits between Whitesteel Factory Grounds Taramin and Junkervillage Taramin B-5. This token is owned by the Whitesteel Company and has to be returned after use.

A Transit Token is a descriptor for various types of token, usually issued by a factory or a town. Represented by this token is the right of a person to join a carriage or other transportation to a designated goal. It was originally was issued as part of a worker's compensation after a day's work but thename got adapted for other similar tokens as well.
With the rise of more publicly available transportation, especially between industrial complexes, there quickly came a need to verify the access to such transport. As a side effect of establihing the Junker Villages in the area round Whitesteel Inc industry, the necesary logistics to move workers between their places of living and theirplaces of work made the advent of a large scale transportation system necessary.
It quickly became apparent that a named list was not fit for the types of mass transportations, as the required bureaucracy was too slow, considering the high fluctuation of workers in between factories and even villages. As such, a simple token was minted and handed out to each worker, to use for the next two rides in the Worktransit Carriages.
At the same time, static routes for public transport became established between larger cities. Using the Worktransit Carriage system as a model, the transit token has become a common description for tickets of travels between settlements as well. Some Transit Tokens are exclusive to luxurious types of travel as well.
As transit tokens are not official coin, there are not yet laws about fabricating false tokens. There is a legal debate in the Sunblessed District going on, if such an action would be considered forgery of documents, fradulent receival of benefits or monetary counterfeiting. Until resolved, private mercenary companies like the Whitebowler Agents are enforcing the correct production and usage of transit tokens for their employers.
In some Junker Villages the carriage providers are testing out a method to fraud-proof a token with a magical signature. However, this does require every one of their security personal to be able to sense magical patterns well enough to discern any fakes.
