Brookedust Zoo
The Brookedust Zoo in the town of the same name is the largest, publicly available collection of exotics in all of Caramiza. The zoo is owned by the regent's family and was made open to the public a few years ago.
The move was widely publicized and many family are regularly invited to the capital to visit the famous zoo. This outreach program was in part an effort to quell rising opposition against the politics in favor of the growing industrialization.
The existence of the park has sparked a new counter movement within the population that demands to preserve the animals in their natural habitats and not in the small enclosures they are currently kept in.
The zoo is generally divided into five sections housing their respective animals while roughly simulating their original habitats: The Blooming Meadows, the Deep Forests, the Freezing Caves, the Field of Seas, and the Groves of Sand and Crystal. each of the sections can be visited from a central plaza, with a large boulevard leading from the entrance toward the plaza. Overall this gives the zoo the shape of a six-petaled flower
In the sixth petal, there are some closed off sections on the zoo where some magically adept animals are held. It was originally named "Caverns if Wonder" and mimicked large ravines the visitors could wander along. Unfortunately, there have been multiple incidents where the animals were using their magic to lure or incapacitate the visitors. One girl was so intensely traumatized by a Visionatic Snake, she had to be send to Selverrock Monastery for treatment.
