Blessed Feast

Young Priest Vincente stepped outside of the temple and watched the first villagers approach in the first lights of the rising sun. His first blessed feast as a priest and he was looking forward to it so much. He inhaled deeply and enjoyed the aromatic smell of cooked meat, tasty seasoning, and sweet vegetables. The weather was perfect, as it should be on the day of the blessed feast. This will be the best day of his life.
The Blessed Feast is a yearly tradition in most human nations and especially in Caramiza during the last week of the harvest moon. It is a celebration upheld for several millennia and brings the whole village or town together.   The feast begins early in the morning with all households in a village coming to the local shrines or temples of their choice, bringing platters of prepared food with them. The Temple will collect the food and bless both the people bringing it as well the food. The priests will spend ost of the day arranging and setting up the food in a central area of the settlement, usually the village square. When the sun sets, every person in the village, no matter if they were able to contribute to the feast or not, is invited to join the table. On this day, all conflict has to rest and even the bells of Maned will be silent this day - no trade will be done.   The origin of the feast is said to be the very last meal the community of the deities had together as mortal beings before they each went out on their own epic quests to ultimately ascend into godhood. They each spoke their blessing over the adventures of everybody else, and this tradition was carried over as a tradition by their followers. During one of the first feasts after the god's ascension, they supposedly visited their followers and joined the feast, each of them blessing a different meal.   The weather on the day of the Blessed Feast is always perfect. It will never rain in any settlement that celebrates the feast, it is neither too hot nor too humid, the gods have truly blessed this day for their followers.
