Lydredd the Living

Lydredd the Living is a lich discovered by the Light Brigade during the Eventide to have created a clan of mountain dwarves in the ruins of the Gamirian College of Necromancy from which to farm lives for her phylactery.
Born to an unknown fiend and the college's grandmaster Tywygsog the Silver, Lydredd was a tiefling called Tanwen in life. She was raised among the college and was nearly grown when her father at last defeated Vetrano the Illustrious. Tywygsog was away from the college when the Great Shadow came, and she declared herself grandmaster in his absence, at last completing her rise to lichdom.
The exact composition of the dwarven population of her farm when she first began it is unknown, though it is likely that various survivors who found their way to the college's entrance were welcomed inside, never to be released again. Lydredd continued to tell the dwarves that the Great Shadow persisted for one thousand years, creating a complex and perverted mythology for them to follow, placing her as an unseen deity, until the arrival of the Light Brigade in late EL 1000. The Brigade planned an ambush and killed Lydredd as well as her most powerful servants, and were able to convince approximately 130 of the dwarves to venture outside and leave the clan forever. The party was, however, unable to find Lydredd's phylactery, and she presumably reconstituted some days later.
Several disappearances were reported in the area in the years that followed.
