King Ulfgar Steelforge

King Ulfgar Steelforge is the king of Vundkrag as of EL 1000. He is son of King Kilvar Steelforge and his first wife, Queen Ilde Gorunn. Ulfgar's younger sister is Princess Beldar Darkarmor, wife of Prince Consort Raimond Darkarmor. Ulfgar's younger half-brother is Prince Matrek Steelforge, son of Kilvar Steelforge and Aminat Broodfist. He is married to Rinsella Steelforge as of November 1001, and is father of Prince Druk Steelforge.
Ulfgar was born in Silverkeep, and moved with his family to Shildefficte for his father's coronation after his grandfather, King Endek Steelforge, passed away in 918. Ilde died of illness in 947, after which point Ulfgar took over many of her responsibilities.
As a person, Ulfgar has always been reserved and solitary. He has been observed to favor devotion to Dagmar, and has an interest in architecture. He rarely emerges from the subterranean portion of Shildefficte. However, as a ruler, he has shown himself to be decisive and direct. The fate of the kingdom was tenuous at the time he assumed rulership, with peace still being rebuilt in the wake of the War of the Storm, but he showed tremendous initiative in handling the fallout of these conflicts, assembling multiple councils and task forces, and even getting married within the year to ensure he could give the kingdom a stable future in the form of an heir. His son Druk was born in 1021. In the time since his coronation, Vundkrag has restabilized and, according to some scholars, emerged stronger than it was before the War of the Storm.
Ulfgar's advisor is Feldim Tansmith, and the captain of his Royal Guard is Atrasked Voldbrung.
