Talesan is king of Jeltir as of EL 993. He is the eldest son of King Merald Fairfell and Queen Ylva Fairfell. Talesan's wife is Queen Bridget Fairfell, and his children are Princesses Braelyn, Ianthe, and Cambria. His siblings are Prince Oric, Prince Zuros (deceased), Prince Nisefas, Prince Rimardo, Princess Kemma, and Princess Emiri.
Having risen to kingship at a very young age, Talesan began his rule contending with the doubts and insecurities of the largest country in the continent. He was helped tremendously by his late father's royal counselor, Asmund Inguske. Fortunately the kingdom was largely at peace at the time, and in his first few years he grew substantially in terms of confidence and ability.
Talesan was king of Jeltir during the Eventide, and his handling of the crisis is generally praised.
