Brìgdoell

The Brìgdoell are a caprine, semi-humanoid species of average to high intelligence directly descended from the Créndual. They are omnivores, but they prefer plant matter, vegetables, and grains, supplementing their diets with meat when necessary. They live on average between 150-180 years, and average in height around 5-7 feet. They are extremely hardy, and evolved to live at higher altitudes with less vegetation surrounding them.

The Brìgdoell are innately psychic, not reliant on the trees to grant them power. Their abilities mainly extend to mediumship, telepathy, advanced empathy, and limited psychokinesis. In addition, communities living near wooded areas also tend towards precognitive abilities. The Brìgdoell are mainly agnostic spiritualists; some communities have patron gods or goddesses but many are almost entirely secular.

The Brìgdoell mine ore and rock to use in advanced stonemasonry and metalworking, with some communities having advanced to basic metallurgy and steel production. Brìgdoell society is composed mainly of tradesmen, craftsmen, healers, and scholars. They have developed seafaring ability but as of yet have not established any territorial waters. Expeditions have reached Elbikrä, but the Brìgdoell have not yet encountered the Eltnaïm.

The Brìgdoell are democratic socialists, working towards the common good and doing their best to accommodate everyone. They are an amiable and welcoming species, not interested in war or conflict in the slightest. They are skilled healers with good knowledge of not only their own biology but also those of the Khasaazeh, the Xik , and the Créndual . They are extensive record-keepers, and they have an oral and written language called Brìgdoen; they also communicate telepathically.
