Rolandite Kingsguard

Paired against their sister organization, the Rolandite Kingsguard consists of a relatively small group of soldiers dedicated to the sole protection of the current monarch of the Roland kingdom. Note that this pertains to the Roland monarch, not the leader of the larger Aristian human population. During periods where the Roland family waned, the Kingsguard do not remain loyal to the throne and fall into private security until the Rolandites take power again.

Manpower

At its peak, the Rolandite Kingsguard composed of as many as twelve platoons, each consisting of no less than thirty handpicked soldiers from the highest ranks of the Royal Marines. In Far Reach, defending against Tel'randese guerilla fighters attempting to assassinate King Richard von Roland, the Kingsguard suffered losses in excess of 95%, ultimately resulting in the deaths of both King Richard, and his eldest son, Prince Robert.
Overnight, the ranks of the Kingsguard were reduced to just two, Edward Crowley and Marcus Foxwood, the personal envoys of Prince Oliver von Roland.

Equipment

While not restrictive of or preclusive to, many of the Kingsguard also held ranks in the Royal Magistrate Navy. As such, the Kingsguard shared equipment including standard issue officer uniforms and Colby 1811 semi-automatic pistols.

Weaponry

Unlike the Royal Navy, the Kingsguard were known for their use of unique and particular weaponry, often possessing of enchanted materials and attributes. These tools can vary from a lightning enchanted saber, or power-enhancing bracers.
