Silversilk

Silversilk is Faesilk that has been alechmically bonded with silver, resulting in rope and cloth of superior strength and durability. It is almost impossible to dye and when coloring is achieved, it simply tints the natural silver color of these sturdy fibers. Like Faesilk, silversilk is slightly magic resistant and this makes it more difficult to enchant. It is also resistant to damage and fire, offering the wearer of silversilk garments similar protection to heavy leather armor at a fraction of the weight. Silversilk is light and easily concealed under clothing. Because of it's resistance to cutting damage, silversilk is somewhat difficult to work with and requires scissors and other sewing tools of fine quality or better. Tools used to cut silversilk require frequent sharpening.
Silversilk is one of the rarest of fabrics in the known world and it is seldom found outside the Faerii Realm of Selene. Most garments made of silversilk will be tailored towards the slender physique that is typical of most elves.
