Monera, also known as
monerium or
coin metal (
monero metalo in
Ehrdean), is an alloy of silver and copper that is primarily used in coins. First used for coins in the
Crimson Empire, coins made of monera can be found throughout most of the known world today. In realms using the
Common Coin / Imperial Coin standards monera should be 9% silver and 91% copper.
The
Kingdom of Keyrand uses a similar alloy for coins called
billon.
