Westryn

"Home to many peoples, Westryn is also known by many names: Lërann to the Elves, Westryn to the various Human nations, Grýmnir to the Dwarves and the Orcs. It is a varied land. Ore-rich mountains, forests of magical trees and fantastical fungi, mires deep and dark where the bones of ancients may be glimpsed, wind-swept plains, and rolling hills can all be found here. Westryn has oft devolved into bloody war, for abundant as the natural resources are they are not spread evenly across her face. Too, there are deep-rooted enmities both ancient and otherwise that fester between her peoples. Only one ruler has successfully united them all, and since his death Westryn has collapsed into one chaotic struggle for dominance after another. It would be the work of a lifetime to come close to understanding and chronicling a land so vast and ever-changing; or, more specifically -- the work of my lifetime." -- R. Corvisher, First Diplomatic Attaché to High Kind Isendred IV
