Lífsinveis

A celebration of life in all its forms, Lífsinveis is a time in which the Grýmoran let go of their inhibitions and truly live for a period of 14 days once a decade. The greatest of all these celebrations takes place at Stórvín at the head of Old Grým's tomb. The feast there is the only respite allowed the monks, and they spare no expense to make it memorable. Virtually unlimited quantities of Dwarvish mead, massive boar slaughtered specifically for the occasion, courtesans of many races, and all manner of exotic intoxicants can be found there during this time and this time only. It is also tradition to take part in at least one drunken brawl; in fact, it is a taboo to pass through the period of Lifsinveis without participating in at least one fight. At the end of the celebration, a solemn prayer is offered to one's deity of choice before returning to the normally austere and businesslike lives expected of good Grýmoran.
