Solisea

Solisea is one of the independent Kingdoms of Mitari and rules the peninsula of the same name, Solisea. Solisea is one of what is called the twin kingdoms, the other being Kirth. Solisea was born in 736 when Lord General Karn Aldavel of the Aldavel Protectorate died. Karn dissolved the Protectorate upon his death and split it between his twin sons.
Solisea has been a resilient and reliable Kingdom from its foundation. The Twins learned much from their father and built two nations that were strong and protected its lands. Solisea maintained a strong relationship with Kirth and the Osman Tribes providing them a places to sell its abundance of agriculture and acquire the goods it needed. Solisea has maintained a strong army and turned away a handful of incursions from its neighboring kingdom of Lastgarde before it fell years ago. Solisea until recently was viewed as a Kingdom that would never fall.
The 4th Epoch has not been as kind to the rest of Solisea, within days of the star rising in the north, King Jarin Aldavel died of a mysterious disease and passed the crown to his 12-year-old son, Luther Aldavel. With Luther being so young the king’s Uncle, Terrowin Aldavel The Duke of Black Bay became the regent. A short two years later Luther began to show early signs of the same mysterious disease that killed his father. With no known cure and the previous King dying so quickly, the Solisea Arcane Collective froze the Royal palace and grounds in time. Once a year the spell is recast and for that day the palace and its residents are unfrozen. So far no cure has been found and this day has been considered a national holiday, King’s Day. As the years have gone by the King’s Regent now referred to as the Black Duke has tightened his grip on Solisea. Stories of insurgents from other nations and kingdoms across the ocean trying to do the kingdom harm, and traitors to the Frozen King have spread through the country. The Black Duke’s spies, The Custodians of Shadow seem to be around every corner and it seems that all too often people disappear in the night after speaking out against the crown.
