The Eternal Cold is a liquid nitrogen pool of unchanging temperature located within the farthest reaches of Antarctica. The Eternal Cold was the birthplace of
Solid Nitrogen and currently houses the
Carbon Copier.
Description
The Eternal Cold is a small, deep pool of liquid nitrogen located within the mountains of Antarctica. The pool has a strange property in which the temperature of the nitrogen is completely stable and unchanging, possibly due to some
magical influence. This can also be backed by the existence of
Solid Nitrogen, who was born from within the pool, meaning the Eternal Cold has the ability to produce sentient beings from within itself.
History
The origins of the Eternal Cold are unknown, although it can be assumed that it was created sometime during the creation of
Earth and the
Eternal Fields. The Eternal Cold may have been a divine artifact left on Earth to serve some purpose, similar to that of the
World Computer.
Sometime before WWII, Solid Nitrogen was created within the depths of the Eternal Cold. During the year 1941, Solid Nitrogen was awoken by
Nazi weapon testing nearby. After wiping out the Nazi team in Antarctica, Solid Nitrogen adopted the
human lifestyle in New York.
A few years later, in 1945, the
Pnictogens were formed with the goal of stopping the
Carbon Copier. After a battle with the Carbon Copier, the Pnictogens launched him into orbit where Solid Nitrogen was able to teleport and knock the Carbon Copier into the Eternal Cold, freezing him and sealing him there to this day.
