Emissary
The Emissary is a small, bug like Daemon that is designed to infect humans and other creatures and to use them for their own purposes. In a way, they are a parasite, as they attach themselves to the brain-stem of unwilling hosts and gradually take them over in the course of several months.
Appearance
The creatures bare a slight resemblance to snakes, except that the 'back' has an armored shell and they have several legs that they can walk. The mouth of the snake has a tongue that has a paralyzing agent which it uses to cut open the skin of its pray, so as to be able to infiltrate the body without said pray knowing it is there.Reproduction
Emissaries are created within the stomachs of Crimper's and have a symbiotic relationship with the creatures, thousands of these creatures are created every year but most die within a couple months.Functions
Once the creature is in its pray, it'll seek out the brain or the brain stem and latch onto it. These creatures, being so small, will then grow gradually over the course of several months. During this time, it also gradually takes over the individual, learning their behaviors, their mannerisms, their schedule, everything and then once ready it initiates a full take over of the body and starts to act as that person but instead implies the will of the Daemons.Lifespan
Emissaries have a long life span, they can live for almost sixty years so long as they are given constant nutrition from the body. Because of this, new emissaries tend not to last very long in life as they require a host in order to live longer than a couple years. In this case, most Emissaries will live in the stomachs of Crimper's, awaiting an opportunity to latch itself onto useful pray. When the creature dies, it releases its host, the host themselves will have no memories of any actions that were taken while they were under its control.
