Domites
A Domite is a spirit that is summoned alongside a mage when they first discover their talent for magic. Domites are very rare, because it takes a special kind of mage to be able to draw the attention of such a creature from the spirit realm. Domites can be in any shape, size, any creature, any animal. A mage who has a Domite by their side is capable of forming a pact with an unlimited number of spirits, because the Domite is considered the dominate spirit and in turn is the one charge of other spirits and will provide the orders while the mage provides the support.
At current, there are only three Domites that exist in the world. Out of those three, two are attached to a mage while another had its pact severed and is wandering the world.
In the world, Domites are referred to as *Companions* by the Aurelian's as they are always by the side of the mage. It take's a very strong force to force a Domite away.
Powers
Domites, unlike an actual familiar, have access to the mage's own line of spells and are able to cast those spells much like their companion can.Verses
Domites are limited in the number of Verses they can access, but they do give off a general tell on the number of Verses that their mage knows. This can come in the number of tails that the animal has, the number of claws on their paws, the span of their wings, the dilation of their eyes or even the number of teeth.Harm
Domites, unlike Familiars, can be harmed by spells and thus can take awhile to recover from their own wounds. When wounded, they will disappear into the spirit realm where they will rest until their wounds are healed. A Domite, however, can't be killed outright. When their companion mage is killed, the Domite will disappear into the spirit realm and await another human to become a companion to.Communication
Domites communicate either through speak or telepathy. Most Domites prefer telepathy when in the presence of other Majikkuyūzā and speech when only in the presence of their companion. Some Domites, however, may not speak at all unless their companion wills it. Some mage's may not hear their Domites speak due to one reason or another.Creation
When a Aurelian ) is born with exceptionally strong magical ties to the world, then a Domite is born at the Tree of Life. This Domite will then journey to meet their new companion, the Domite will observe their companion and make the decision whether to stay with them or return to the spirit realm.Basic Information
Growth Rate & Stages
Domites grow at a rate based upon the growth of their pacted mage. Some might grow bigger, stronger, others might grow weaker, and smaller, it all depends on the mage themselves and how well or poor they perform. Domitse never grow old, however.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Unlike Familiars, Domites do eat but what they eat is varies considerably on the Domite. Some might eat meat, others might eat grass; all however will hunt and forage for their food and store what they gather in the spirit realm for them to consume at a later date. They typically do this when their companion mage is asleep or otherwise indisposed of.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Domites are social creatures, when they encounters others of their kind, it is not common for them to get together and talk for many hours on end; espiecally if their companion mages are staying together for a long period of time. They will also communicate with other creatures in the world, animals, and even other Majikkuyūzā's who can see them.
Average Intelligence
Domite's are about as intelligent as the average Majikkuyūzā, but can become more intelligent if their companion mage wills it.
Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms
Domites have a symbiotic relationship with their companion mage, they are able to share Kai and able to help keep each other alive. Domites are able to pull Kai from the spirit realm to "fuel" their companion, though most prefer not to do this since most mage's aren't capable of handling the type of Kai that exists in the spirit realm.
