Ceruleum Dust

Ceruleum Dust is a by-product of the mining of Ceruluem Crystal, as crystals can't be mined using mining machines and can only be done using physical labor, dust is created from this mining process. The dust is considered very toxic and miners typically wear respirators and protective suits in order to prevent themselves from getting the dust into their bodies.   Because of how fine the dust is, it can get into the body via the spores on a person's body and once inside, begins to wreak havoc on the person's lungs and immune system. The dust can also clog up arteries and lead to lung failure, heart attacks, or even stroke.   While humans don't have to worry too much about the secondary effects of the dust, Aurelian do. This type of dust is a poison to them as it can increase the amount of Kai in their bodies at a steady rate, making it difficult to purge the unspent Kai. This dust is classified as Befouled Kai due to it's effects on the body. While adults are able to protect themselves using barriers, children are not so lucky due to lacking the knowledge. Unfortunately, society tends to use children in the mining of Ceruleum Crystals due to them being small and capable of getting into places that adults can't. Some nations, such as Country of Okoda, purposefully use children are mining labor in order to discover which one's can use magic.

Taste and Smell

The dust has no taste, no smell, it can only barely be seen with the naked eye as gray particles floating in the air.
