The Midnight Realm
A Demiplane, only barely separated from the Material, where Vampires and other such things that go bump in the night live and fester. Devoid of all color, save for the eyes of its natives and the Blood Red Sun, the land is washed in misery and fear, just how the ruling class, and the Rozen Court they serve, like it.
The realm is currently in the middle of an Eternal War, as conflicts tend to be among undying people. On one side, you have the Vampires and the Lycanthropes they've enslaved. On the other, you have the Undying zombies. The Spirit and Hag populations are both devoted to being entirely neutral, while the population of Fallen Aasimar remains separate from the war out of religious belief, and the infernal demons of the ream merely work for the highest bidder.
Geography
A dark reflection of the super-continent that is Edda, The Midnight Realm is composed of several smaller countries, islands in the grand scheme of things, each lorded over by a member of The Rozen Court. The land is easy enough to be tilled for vegetables, and sparse fruit trees can be grown as well, as well as various kinds of livestock, which have adapted for the dark realm they find themselves in. Between the land, however, is a vicious and unrelenting sea, filled with monsters and the death of hundreds of kinds.
While most of the land is ruled by the Vampiric upper class, there are also nations comprised of unliving Spirits and their old-fashioned sensibilities, Undying zombies who continuously die as they lived, demons who broker deals and deaths, Hags who are enriched by the dark mana of the realm, and fallen demiangels who have a religious reverence to the supposed creators of the realm.
Fauna & Flora
The Midnight Realm has many unique fruits and vegetables that satiate the vampiric needs of its subjects, no matter how little. They also have various kinds of beasts such as Blood-Cattle and Hell-Pigs that assist with meat requirements. Outside of that, many would be advised to stay away from natural creatures of the woods, as they survive only because they are monstrous.
Natural Resources
The Midnight Realm has no shortage of food, or space, or water. But, it is low on Magic. Many people within the realm have no magical inclination whatsoever, and the sheer awe of Leylines on the material realm pales in comparison to what is available within The Midnight Realm. Similarly, they have very little metals, such as Iron, or Gold, as they mostly have Silver Mines, and even then they are not deep.
History
No one knows when The Midnight Realm was made, as barely anyone even knows it exists. Not even its inhabitants know, as many of them are from a later generation. But, those who are aware of its existence know that it's been in civil unrest for the past 1,000 years, with different Rulers stepping up to the plate, only to get taken down shortly. It truly was each monster for themselves, according to historical texts recovered and a handful of first-hand testimonies.
But all of that changed when Rosellia Siog stepped up to bat. Somehow, this brutal, vicious, intimidating woman was able to bend the nobles of The Midnight Realm to her blade, and subjugated all of its people.
It has been nearly 30 years since then, and although subjects don't have to worry about constant wars, the threat of execution, "voluntary" experimentation, and brutal taxation is the new norm.
It got even worse in the last few years, when a new noble system was created, The Rozen Court. 13 positions, including the Queen, of supreme power over a territory, and each lord must pay respect to the Flower or Thorn above them.
