Pan-Edda Educational Board

"What kind of formal education is available to children in your world? Why is it available and how is it organized?"
While it is the responsibility of each country within Edda to provide the education their citizens need according to their own policies, the community of the Pan-Edda Educational Board was established in 982 AC in order to not only facilitate cross-country history and information exchanges but also to establish a fair and equal flat standard for basic education across all countries, in all populated areas, for members of all races, long or short-lived.
It was first proposed by King Baal Theophrastus Diomedes the 3rd, the King of Magnum Opus, but has since been passed to a board of individuals from each country, helmed by an elected 11th member.
The current main priority of the Board is to spread its flat standard to magical or vocational education, rather than just basic education.
The current baseline for education is that starting at 3 years of age, parents are allowed to sign up their children for educational institutions, of which there should be teachers capable of facilitating a variety of cultures and learning styles. Educational Board-approved schools will not require tuition, as they are state-funded, and a student can stay in the same school system until the age of 18, in which case they have the option of attending higher general education or splitting off to an Arcane College or Vocational Institution. Currently, there are not any Educational Board-instated specialist colleges, but public educational counselors do have a list of Educational Board approved schools and trade experts offering apprenticeships.

Structure

The educational sector of each country elects a member to the board once every 8 years, and those 10 members then go to elect a Board Arbiter in order to maintain the conversations, solve split votes, and report to other organizations presumably without bias or favor.

Public Agenda

P.E.E.B exists in order to ensure the educational standard for each nation is upheld and pitch-perfect for any of it's subjects, both in rural and urban environments, in order to facilitate the love of learning.

Assets

Being a partially pan-governmental institution, the education sectors of each country spend part of the funding on P.E.E.B's operations.
