Jays

A wide piece of territory with long, leveled plains, Jays is a haven for Riders and Cavaliers to train, practice, and raise their mounts and their families.

Demographics

Jays citizens are almost entirely Human and Human descendants, with a few members of the Elven community.

Government

Jays can be a bit difficult to govern, as most of its populous lives in settlements outside of the main city, but Mayor Wilfried Egger elects community leaders each season for that purpose exactly.

Defences

Jays surrounds it's main city and larger groups of settlements with low walls with strategic exits for the riding guard of the area.

Industry & Trade

Horses aren't the only animal of Jays, the territory as a whole is known for it's livestock of all kinds, but the skill that is trained in horse riding not only casually, but for certain members of The Firespreaders is unparalleled, especially in conjunction with Boncly's Firearms.

Infrastructure

Jays mostly relies on simple roads and natural, wind-based energy, along with the energy of the leylines. Also, unlike the rest of Edda, they mostly use horses and other such beasts of burden for travel, resisting the more modern Automated Wagon.

Guilds and Factions

Jays doesn't have any divided factions, although since Boncly opened up a bit more to the outside world, it does host a division of The Pugilists Guild, something Fausta Oliver of Jess is quite jealous of.

History

Jays has been settled as a home of cavaliers, even in the olden days where Centaurs roamed freely, before being hunted down to extinction due to the rumored medicinal property of their blood. This normally went rather unnoticed, until the time of The Border Wars came, and their Cavalier skills were wanted for the battles to come. This became a massive bargaining chip in the negotiations for Boncly to become an independent country.

Architecture

Jays primarily uses simple wooden architecture for it's buildings, complete with tall rounded doorframes and sturdy walls.
