Ambrosious
The shining capital of Avalon, home to the Grand Seer as well as being the Religious and Political center of the country. It can be said that Ambrosious has the most information available in one place, as it not only as the Avalonian Official Library, but also the archives of The Cabal of The Night Sky. However, access to that information is also heavily restricted.
The city also has the title of "The Observatory" as it's home to the most advanced Astral Observatory in Edda.
Demographics
While Ambrosious has a grand amount of various types of people, most of it's population is from Tiefling descent, as it's the highest demographic in Avalon, seconded only by Sun Elves. Along with that, most of the population is involved with The Cabal of The Night Sky, as the city is a religious center as well.
Government
Even though The Grand Seer takes residence in this town, the city is still governed by an Archpriest, who reports to The Grand Seer. Their organization is what maintains information on the local level, so that The Grand Seer isn't overwhelmed with country wide and city wide issues.
Defences
Along with having a vast amount of Royal Guard and Mars Seer Soldiers, Ambrosious has strong city walls that have stood ever since they were made, ten years after the initial founding of the City.
Industry & Trade
Most of the buisness that goes on in Avalon is of the religious variety. Excorcisms, blessings, foretellings, or defense contracting jobs for the more militant members. But the sheer amount of people drawn to and living in the city mean that you can find just about anything, and various types of mercantile can be found, although not nearly as much as can be found in Cheval.
Infrastructure
Ambrosius mostly runs on Arcane Energy, which is plentiful as it lays on the crossroads of dozens of Avalon's Leylines, and keeps it filtered by using Water Mills, which also goes to benefits the cities sewer system.
Assets
As the religious center of Avalon, the amount of records and archival texts within the national library is priceless. Alongside that, there is also a vast repository of religious items and artifacts, along with the Avalonian Mint and Royal Treasury being kept within the Capitals walls as well.
Guilds and Factions
The various different factions and specific churches among The Cabal of The Night Sky have their own groupings, as do the various Workers Guilds in the cities. Surprisingly, there aren't any Mercenary Guilds in such a populated area, but that can possibly be attributed to the sheer amount of Mars Seers who don't have much else to do to aid the publics concerns.
History
Ambrosious existed ever since the Three Progenitors divvied up the land of Edda. While it has evolved, and changed, and grown, and shrank, it has stayed the observers of the desert and the edge of the known world, with their eyes ever on the stars.
Architecture
Most of the architecture in Avalon uses clay and brick for square buildings, with the exception of the main Palace, which is crafted into a Ziggurat with many different raised platforms. One can also find many different, finely made tapestries in and around homes, as many use them to signify ownership.
Geography
The city of Ambrosious is set in one of the many Oasis's in Avalon, with a river running through the city, making for fertile and enriched land within the sands and clay of the desert.
