The Pathaway

"The Corridor between Worlds"

The Pathaway was created by The Old Gods as a easy way to travel long distances over Ecquamas. The exact details on how it worked is long lost. But what people do know is that it's a large maze made from Runic Magic and massive stone corridors that lies in between the Mortal one and the The Spiritual Plane. People can teleport themselves into the Pathaway and use it to travel large distances in a very short time. It's said that one step in the Pathaway is a thousand steps in the Mortal plain.
Sadly the Pathaway isn't used anymore, during The Blood Wars it was a mayor point of interest of both sides. And it constantly switched hands, even having the occasional battle take place in the Pathaway. But it wasn't meant to be, at the end of the The Red Crusade it was a massive reliability. So Zinri took it into his own hands to deal with it. He saw it as the perfect place to test his The Shadow Plague and unleashed it into the Pathaway. Over the years it began to rot away. It became too dangerous to use as Specters filled it's halls and it was lost to time.

Usage
Not everyone has forgotten the Pathaway, it's general function still exists and there are some people who still use it. Though not everyone who goes in makes it out. And when you do die in the Pathaway there is a high chance you turn into a Specter. So most people opt to just walk.
