Mountain People

Sandwiched between Eagon

and Oythos sit the people of Sascua. High upon the peeks of the moutains they have lived the mayority of their time in isolation. They know these mountains inside and out, and have found ways to make these usually uninhabitable hieghts livable. These mountains are incredibly important to these people, so important in fact that they started to worship them.
The Sascuans believe that these mountain ranges are in fact living creatures, just too big and complex for us to understand. They call them Möanta. And they worship these creatures by holding massive and colorful festivals. Where they dance and sing. To thank the Möanta for their protection, but also in name of their ancestors. It's said that the souls of the dead are interwoven with the Möanta. So they can watch and protect their future generations.

Expressing Yourself: Expressing yourself in very important amongst the Sascuan people. In their eyes, emotions are there for are there for a reason, and hiding them wont do any good. They don't like to dance around the problem and if something is bothering them they'll bluntly say so. This hasn't gone over too well with other people who find this rude or disrespectful.

True or not, one thing remains certain. There is a unexplained amount of Essence flowing through these mountain ranges. Causing all sorts of vibrant and colorful plants to grow here. And if these stories about the Möanta are to believed. Then they would be older then The Old Gods. Now they follow Atra-ki: The Three Towers, trying to perfect themselves and their worship to the Möanta.

Colorful: If there's one thing very noticable about a Sascuan, then it's their brightly colored clothes. Which are usually beautifully decorated. Back in the day they were implemented to make the wearer noticable in case they got lost. And to show of which tribe they belong too. Now it's also a status symbol, but also one of their main trade exports. As the plants to create these dye's only grow here, amongst the mountain peeks.

Appearance

They're born with a light beige skin-tone. Their hair color being a dark to light brown. Next to their colorful clothing many also like to tattoo themselves with integrate designs and colors, including those with scales, feathers or fur. Who dye their skin all sorts of colors. But their natural colors are usually a tint of brown.

Climate
Living all the way up in the mountains means it's usually very cold. Warm clothing is a must, especially during winter and when it begins to snow more often.
