King Morrinnir Thrennas

King Morrinnir Thrennas (a.k.a. The Unifying)

Morrinnir Thrennas, later known as the Unifying, is the human who one by one brought the Rhodani tribes together and unified them into the nation of Valorden of which he was promptly appointed to be the first king.   With this, Morrinnir founded the Thrennas bloodline, though only three of his descendants have made it to the seat of King of Valorden after him, notably the current king King Marcael Thrennas. The meaning of the name Thrennas is said to be known only in old Rhodani dialects.

Personal history

At the time of his birth the wars and infighting between the various tribes of Rhodanes and new Valese settlers on Valordan territory had reached a high point. While Morrinnir's family was neither a ruling family nor otherwise powerful, as a young man he quickly gained employment as a chieftain's hand in combat, meaning he was a sort of a squire. Legends say that he disobeyed his ruler's orders to spy on a diplomatic meeting between enemy tribes to instead enter into talks with the ruler of Amantia who had been present. Subsequently, he had to enter single combat with the champion of Amantia and there Morrinnir impressed with his bravery and prowess. The truth is probably that the young man was discovered while spying, then forced to fight and gained a lucky win against a powerful lord's champion. Whatever happened exactly, the remaing attendants allowed Morrinnir to speak and he convinced them to band together with his lord's tribe. Later in his life he became a military advisor to the growing alliance of tribes. Soon the people began to look to him instead of his superiors as more and more flocked to the Thrennas banner.
