The Prosperity Ringworld, or simply Prosperity, was once the largest ringworld in the Founder Galaxy. After being destroyed in the Second Cataclysm, only a fraction of the ringworld remains today.

Towards the beginning of the Second Cataclysm, the Super-Aberrant Megafauna known as tbd managed to possess a small planet in the outskirts of Prosperity's star system. They rapidly approached Prosperity and collided with it several times, destroying it an driving its inhabitants mad. Most of the debris either fell into the star or was ejected into interstellar space, but a small amount managed to stay in a highly elliptical orbit.

Today:

Two main parts of Prosperity have survived to modern day, both in an elliptical orbit that goes from the original distance from the star to dangerously close to it. The largest part is known as the debris field. This field occupies just over half of the orbit. It consists of large chunks of the ringworld suspended inside a razor-sharp cloud of twisted metal and sharp rock.
