Farros

Farros as seen from space 2 years ago.

Introduction:

Farros is a barren, rocky planet on the edge of the Founder Galaxy in the gateway sector. It is home to many mines, which help supply the remote region of the galaxy with various metals. It is infamous for its name, due to its relation to the terrorist group known as the Children of Farros.

Description:

Farros is a small world that has a very thin atmosphere, which is comprised of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and iodine gas. It has many large caves underneath the surface, many of which have been filled with breathable air. Farros has 24% of Rocheron's gravity, making prolonged exposure hazardous to most life. Long-term settlements require artificial gravity to prevent muscle deterioration.

Importance:

Farros exports many refined metals mined on the planet, such as lead, tin, and iron. These metals are shipped to other systems on the edge of the galaxy in the gateway sector, but rarely to other sectors.
