Acre

Demographics

Acre is a smaller town, whose one claim to fame is the Acre Brewery. Therefore, the vast majority of the citizens living inside the town's limits work at the brewery. This is rather unskilled labor, lending to the town having a disproportionately high number of lower working class citizens. A few merchants, innkeepers, and craftsmen exist here, making up a small middle class. Very few if any upper class citizens intentionally call Acre home. Cohen Foster, the local Count, does not live here himself, instead appointing a reeve to watch over the daily operations of the town.

Government

Being a part of Krenada, Acre is ultimately ruled over by the King of Krenada, Eridor Stormcastle. That said, the town's ownership is determined by the holder of the Count of Acre title. Currently, this is Cohen Foster.   The Count does not live directly in Acre, instead leaving the day to day operations to an appointed reeve who lives in the town. He reports to the count, who in turn reports to Chester Hawkins, the Duke of Apla. Then, finally, the duke reports to the king.

Defences

Acre is a small town. As such, it contains no walls or true defenses of any kind. Makeshift guard towers have been built in times of war, along with barricades along the roads, though these are generally removed during peace time. No garrison exists in Acre either, as there doesn't seem to be much of a need (again, unless orders are given to occupy during wartime). Instead, the town's defenses are more or less limited to the Crimson Wings, as well as any capabilities of skilled and unskilled fighters or mages who may be living in the town.

Industry & Trade

As with all Krenadan settlements, Acre certainly produces its fair share of agricultural products - grains, livestock, vegetables, and the like. The true trade power of Acre, however, comes from the Acre Brewery. While the brewery certainly doesn't produce the highest quality product in the land, it does produce the most. The brewery is huge, employing most of the town, and providing ale to nearly every inn on the western half of the continent.
