PALLAS

PALLAS is the capital of Tibal the tabaxi home land it is the meeting point of all clans and major trade hub and cultural center.

Demographics

99.9% Tabaxi 1% non Tabaxi

Government

Officially the Tabaxi Clan council is in charge of the town and all clans provide for the city. Clan that was the original founders of the town and a bulk of its members help run its day to day governing, maintenance and security.

Defences

The height and steepness of the moutain acts and a natural defense. Low Pallas has a low wall around it and a secured covered pass to and from low and high Pallus as a back up to the tram/trolly system. The main defenses were set up to deal with bandits and outcast raiders   The city guard has 2000 full time members with each clan contributing 50 clan members as support staff or special assignments.

Industry & Trade

Black smiths as well as a growing textile and artistry industry   There is a large trade market in low and high pallus the clans gather here to barter and trade the wares they have acquired.

Infrastructure

The city is divided into two districts Low Pallus and High Pallus. High Pallus is the oldest part of the city and built on the top of the lowest mountain in the Wyvern range at the start of the Pallas pass.   Low Pallus is the newest part of the city constructed at the base of the mountain and goes up to High Pallus. It has been constructed with crystal powered infrastructure. Crystal infrastructure is responsible for things like lantern system, indoor plumbing and heating. Due to the position of high Pallus and low Pallus it was relatively easy to integrate the pre-existing sewer system as it was gravity based.   There is a tram/trolley system set up between both low and high pallus.

History

The city was founded by the Clan during the Dragon Age and was a safe haven during the Age of Storms although the region never saw any storms that ravaged the rest of the world.

Architecture

Architecture of Tibal has many unique features brought about by its adaptation to the cold, and winds from the Flat Lands. Buildings are generally made from locally available construction materials, and are often embellished with symbols of Clans private homes often have clan flags attached and displayed in some fashion depending on the clan member. Roundish walls to squarish, four-sided walls one may see tall and impressive stone towers, that act a clan estates and guard towers.   Manor homes are the basic homes of the upper class and usually found in High Pallas   Tibal construction materials are stone, clay, and wood, concrete has also come into use for the construction of Low Pallus. The roof of the buildings are flat with irrigation systems set up for gardens and to guide water off the roofs in to designated collection points for the buildings use.   Walls that are constructed of stone or rammed earth may be up to a meter thick at the base.   Windows were traditional small except for those in the designated family or meeting room.These windows were exceptionally crafted and decorated with mandala as the primary focus .With he advent of new technology and construction practices these windows have become more and more extensive in size
