The Seven Hells

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here. Gehenna inflame the imaginations of travelers, the greed of treasure seekers, and the battle fury of all moral creatures. It is the ultimate plane of pure evil and the epitome of premeditated cruelty. The devils and demons of the Seven Hells are bound to obey the laws of their superiors, but they rebel within their individual circles. Most undertake any plot, no matter how foul, to advance themselves up the ranks and hopefully become a demon lord. However no may, or in most cases cannot, surpass the very top of the hierarchy, the king of the hells. If he were to be vanquished, the victor would rule the plane in turn. Such is the law of the Seven Hells. The current Demon King, is Tiamat the Scaled Tyrant. She rules the Seven Hells from the last circle, Abisar.

The Seven Circles

Gehenna or the Seven Hells has seven large circles, that are stacked on top of each in a spiral. The circles all represent different devil and demon aspect and each circle is also ruled by what is referred to as a "demon lord". A demon of great power that exceeds that of all other demons on that given circle. To reach the deepest circle of Gehenna , one must descend through all seven circles. However no one has ever dared to decent what now has become known as the "Everlong Stairs".

The seven circles of Gehenna is the following: Wrathia; the first circle, Vanest the second circle, Adephagia; the thrid circle, Yakshagana; the fourth circle, The Gate; the fifth circle, Fallum; the sixth circle and finally Abishar, the seveneth circle.

The Seven Lords

From her throne at the bottom of the Seven Hells, Tiamat commands the chaotic horde that is the devils and demons of the Seven Hells. However she does very little in that regard when it comes down to it. Tiamat and the other Demon Lords rule over the seven circles that comprise the Hells and each of the lords make up a hierarchy that is both chaotic and yet stable. That has led Tiamat to become careless. The task of running an underworld that practically runs itself for eternity, has left the else where war loving dragon, burned out. Tiamat believes her self to be more powerful than any other demon lord, so she is not constantly wary of treachery within her ranks and yet this is perhaps also what keeps the demon lords from banding together and invade the surround worlds. The current demon lords will now be listed in a table.
