Upon receiving correspondence of her ship's whereabouts and the condition of her crew, Mae gathered heroes around Idrielle to assist in her recovery of her ransomed crewmates. So with the assistance of Fort Heward-Denisete, they charted onto their adventure. Shortly after leaving, the ship and all aboard were met with a fierce serpent and crab underlings. The heroes fought bravely and Mae nearly blew up the ship by igniting a keg of gunpowder, wiping nearly all foes from the deck. Eventually driving off the serpent, the ship arrives to a cove where Mae and her companions hatch a devious plan to prison break the crew members. When all goes awry while fighting The Stirge and her crew, their Captian Laskilar offers the group a choice; leave now with your lives or continue this fierce battle. She thinks for a moment, looking around at her weak and fallen allies, and the havoc they caused with many of the foes slain as well. She chose what any Captain would have in the moment. The safety of the crew and friends are above all else in her own personal code, and she chose to be spared, but swore to return to enact revenge upon this "Laskilar".
