Several thousands of years ago
The Vigilant Star would power bestow
Upon the mortal broken souls
He had slain following Tiamat's goals
In state of limbo in Shadowfell
The souls of the dead would forever dwell
Without faith or divine presence
Their afterlife contained no pleasance
In the wastes of shadow and gloom
Lurked an everlasting doom
But shining bright to those in need
The Vigilant Star would heed their plead
The Ejder ancestors were mortals who died
But the power gained was to their souls tied
And from the grave their living blood
With draconic heroe's power would flood
But over the years their powers waned
The Vigilant Star of its radiance drained
The heroe's legacy nearly blighted
Awaiting the spark to be reignited
