Herb is a retired middle-aged ship-builder. Gardening is his hobby and he's wanted to open a shop to sell plants for a long time. He's certainly got the name for it.
A strange traveling Triton gentleman named Delnis caught wind of this, and decided to fund the venture with all these extra golden discs he'd found "lying around."
Herb feels his daughter, Alicia, doesn't get outside enough, so he's forcing her to help run the shop.
