Dave Davidson Character in East Marches | World Anvil

Dave Davidson

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

A mountain dwarf, a bit shorter than the average at 4'4", though thick set with what seems to be a mound of muscle all over his body. Dave has fairly light skin, though it has been tanned from long hours of working in front of a forge, his hair and beard, though are even lighter, brown, verging on blonde. The beard is well kept, smooth and flowing, the more perceptive might notice the slight discouloring of ink stains in the beard, where one might have licked a pen just before use.

Personal history

David, as so many dwarves did, grew up in a family mine-forge. Like his siblings, and his forebears, he learnt the trade of of a smith. Being the 3rd born of five children David was squarely the middle child, too old to be doted upon or simply go off and play, but not the eldest to be given the more important jobs, David was given the paperwork of the mine-forge and thus, grudgingly learned the art of penmanship. David was not what one would think of as one who knows penmanship, his build would indicate a warrior, and that he was. When he had the chance he entered as a fighter in the local fighting pit, he had the strength borne of his dwarvish heritage and a knack for getting a serious second wind. Not a bad swing with his maul either.   As the time came for the Mine-forge to be handed to the eldest Davidson child, David found it to be the time for him to move on. He had heard whispers that the name "Dave" was hated in a strange land across the sea "Idriell" they called it. It was time to redeem his name.
