Combat & House Rules

Flanking

East Marches uses alternative flanking rules, where creatures on opposing sides of an enemy receive a +2 to their Attack Rolls vs the enemy between them.

Movement

We utilize the optional diagonal movement rules where each diagonal square of movement is 1.5 times a straight square of movement. Roll20 will do the math for you so please use the movement ruler to track distances. (DMG 252)

Potions During Combat

While in combat, a potion can be consumed by a creature as a Bonus Action while "feeding" it to another creature is considered an Action. Additionally, throwing potions to others is considered an Action with a range of 20/60 feet. If the thrown potion is an attack (ie: alchemist fire, acid, etc), it is considered an Improvised Weapon.

Character Death

Upon the death of a character, all of the character's possessions (mundane items, magic items, gold, ect.) at the time of death will be buried with the body. This includes any borrowed items. Any buildings that are owned by the character will be transferred to a co-owner or given to the city. Buildings can then be bought from the city at 1.5 x the CP the building has accumulated. The cost is in gold.
