Global Resistance Movement
The Global Resistance Movement (GRM) is an international terrorist organisation founded by the American Mason Burke. It espouses a populist, anti-elite, anti-capitalist, anti-automation doctrine that decries the west and modern society as decadent and oligarchic, instead advocating for a return of power to "the people". Since the organisation's founding in 2052, it has claimed responsibility for hundreds of terrorist attacks, and has an estimated death toll well over 10,000. Since the death of its founder, Mason Burke, in 2067, the organisation has significantly reduced the number of attacks it has committed, but is still active under a new and currently unknown leader.
Like many terrorist organisations, the GRM is divided into many cells that have little contact with each other. Communication is primarily undertaken via secure dark web internet chatrooms, using code phrases in order to avoid any lurking government agents. The majority of GRM cells are within North America and Europe, but there are a number outside as well. Based on analysis of various propaganda material that the GRM has produced, its doctrine is a mix of far-right and far-left ideology, incorporation elements of radical reactionism and Marxism, but can primarily be described as a far-right terrorist organisation. The stated goal of the GRM is to depose the ruling elites of western society, destroy the capitalist and oligarchic system currently in place, and significantly reduce (if not eliminate) automation that the GRM claims has stolen jobs from the poor underclass. The GRM typically recruits from the destitute and ideologically aligned, both in western nations and outside.

However, it was captured by operatives under the employ of Cybersyn Technologies in 2065, and countermeasures were deployed through computer patches.
