Arüvorash (Ah-ru-vohr-ash)

Father of the Ironbark, Old Ironsides, The Lost Son

"The Lost Son of Aravor and Revka has consumed the Father of the Forest since his disappearance during the Infernal Crusade. The Verdant Order has searched far and wide for the Father of the Ironbark, hoping to assuage the guilt he feels for failing his only son."

The Scions of Nature

One of the very few Primordials born after the Chaos Wars, Arüvorash was born during the Emerald Age to Aravor and Revka. The eldest child of the two, Aravor was raised in the Elswyld amongst the fey folk, and only left that realm after the departure of his mother. Aravor was never the same after Revka left them for the first time, and it heavily damaged his relationship with Arüvorash. Spiteful of his absent father, Arüvorash is a very distant deity, preferring to earn his adherents through his good deeds rather than have them inherently because of who he is, like his father.
Arüvorash communicates with his sparse followers through greendreams, and is very isolationist. Arüvorash's roots go deep, and he does not move often. For thousands of years, it was believed that the last recorded sighting of Arüvorash was during the Infernal Crusade in the Iskari Empire, and it was unknown if he survived the conflict. We can now finally update the historical record. In Leaffall of 6713 CY, Arüvorash was located within the Dreadwood to the south of New Iskar by an intrepid group of adventurers. These heroes were Lillith Anastasiar, Tobias Slater, Helios Skywatcher, Clement Silvius, Nilton GreymorBlaire and Mikael Silvius. It was discovered that Arüvorash was the source of the corrupted, misshapen creatures that had been spewing forth from that forest for thousands of years. Arüvorash had been corrupted somehow during his encounter during the Crusade, and had been staving off the complete fall of his divine personage through sheer force of will over the millennia. It was only by chance, and the guidance of Lillith, a servant of Arüvorash, that the group was able to locate him, and in an intense ritual where able to separate the remaining pure and corrupted portions of Arüvorash's soul, the first time this had been done in recorded history. This resulted in the destruction of Arüvorash as we know him, and the creation of two new deities, Arü and Vorash. Vorash fled to parts unknown, leaving Arü to recover slowly, taking the Dreadwood as his personal domain on the continent of Vendris.
It was also discovered during this adventure that Arüvorash has four children, the four seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter). Winter returned to Arü, while Spring fell during the final confrontation. Spring's soul was later imparted to Lillith, dwelling within her body to unknown affect. Their mother is unknown.
