Clement Silvius

Clement Silvius was born into House Silvius, Iskari descendants living in exile in the Free Marches in 6987 CY. His family fled north after the fall of the Iskari Empire at the onset of the Infernal Crusade, the cause of which is still unknown. House Silvius travelled north for thousands of years, eventually they making their home in Norwech, where they have resided for the last three centuries in relative wealth. He has two younger siblings, Remus and Amelia Silvius.
Clem was 16 when he was first recruited by Renault, one of the founders of The Wanderers, Clem was enlisted to assist in pacifying the lands of Iskar, ridding the area of bandits and petty warlords prior to the arrival of the Emperor Marris Dron.
When Clem was 21, Renault's spark awoke within himself, and he took that as a sign to reclaim the ruined capital of Everhold. After a period of extreme divisiveness and strife amongst his followers, half of The Watchers abandoned the group over the suicidal task Renault placed before them. Those who remained however fought hard, rededicating themselves to the effort, and eventually took the city. Within a week of victory, fulfilling Renault's vision, the long awaited Emperor himself arrived in Iskar (Emperor Marris Dron), claiming the long dormant throne of the Iskari Empire.
One of the first acts of the new Emperor was to proclaim a resettlement of the lands of Iskar, calling upon all former citizens of the great empire to return to their homeland, and encouraging new citizens to emigrate to the land. Clement's family, including the large majority of House Silvius returned to New Iskar at this time. As the resettlement underwent, the Wanderers were tasked with rooting out the last of the barbarian strongholds that remained. It was within an ancient Iskari tomb that Clem's own spark awakened, and he used his new strength to slay the powerful necromancer within and saved Renault's life. He was commended by the Emperor himself for his heroism, and he began his new journey as a paladin in the Emperor's service.
After several years of service, Clem began the "Wandering" phase of his training. He made pilgrimages to both the Sunrise and Sunset Walls, praying at the monuments at their base. After making that journey, he stopped in the town of Acropolis, where he was once stationed as a guard in his early years. There, his old friend Stuart asked him to try to keep an eye on a particularly rowdy Tul Vos in the town, Erik Ivarsson.

The Watchers- A group centered around the zealous worship of the Emperor Marris Dron that function as both his personal peacekeeping force and an elite military unit in the forces of the New Iskari Empire. Highly venerated by the denizens of Iskar, they hold a place of great honor amongst it's people. Known for their service and dedication to the people of New Iskar, they are most famed for the retaking of the ruins of Everhold prior to the resettlement of New Iskar, as well as the five year period of "Wandering" each member must undergo in order to complete their training.
