History
The first found evidence of the Hell's Plague dates back to the Third Age. Pictures of a red mist sweeping through towns was found scratched on ancient ruins in Oblivion, along with many ancient drawings of a cloaked figure. Above that figure was written the name Harrgas in a variant of Phelrogan or High Elvish.
Cultural Reception
When someone is found to be affected by the sickness they are immediately ostracized by their community. They are considered cursed by Hargus and are avoided at all costs. If a wizard is present who may be capable of healing them, they are sent to attempt the cure after performing numerous spells to protect themselves of the disease.
