Phelrogan or High Elvish (Fhel-Row-Gahn)

Phelrogan is an ancient language used during the time of the High Elves. It was said to be the first language by many but some disagree and say that Tyun is more ancient. During the rise of the High Elves the language became not only used among the elves but also among men. Narlo, Amatrio and the Cross Cities all use Phelrogan as their chief language in both speech and writing.

Writing System

All the letters in Phelrogan are designed to fit together well and flow smoothly while writing. It is a cursive-like and beautiful script. However, due to the height of many of the letters it takes a lot of room to write many rows on one page and because of this most texts written in Phelrogan are inscribed on long pieces of paper which are rolled up into a scroll.
