Earthy Ritual Purification

Vinda ran into the forest and knelt in front of a small altar that was embedded in a hollowed -out tribe. In her shaky hand, she held a bouquet of meadow flowers and a small older cake. In a dry restless voice, she spoke a few words of thanks to the mother goddess and put the offerings brought with her on the table of the altar. Then she took out a small bowl out of a bag and filled some sand that she hastily opened from the ground. She reached into her pocket again and a bundle of dried leaves and a container with a glowing tinder sponge came to light. With a knife she cut off a little of the tinder and put the piece into the vessel. The bundle with the dried leaves raised a little and murmured a few more words. Then she put the bundle on the glowing tinder and smoke rose. Vinda waited a bit until the smoke became denser and smelled of a sweet-woody lavender and essential ointment. Now she took a feathered compartment out of her bag and tried to capture the smoke and pour over her body by linging the compartment down from the head. She repeated the process several times until the bundle had completely dissolved in the smoke. She felt her hand calmer and slow and slower her breath. Then she sat in front of the altar, closed her eyes and sank into a slight meditation.
During the use of earth magic, perception is significantly sharpened and sensitivity is increased by three times. In order not to break or become too cocky, most users then carry out ritual cleaning so that they do not overwhelm the feelings experienced.
Preparation
