Vineshade
Vineshade is the largest halfling settlement in E'ath and was originally settled due to the abundance of vine like plants called halfling leaf. While the process is kept a secret from anyone not a halfling, it is widely known that the halfling leaf plant can be processed into a tobacco that leaves the smoker in a highly euphoric state. While there does not seem to be any sort of government ruling over the city the halflings have their own way of figuring out disagreements.
This is also the homestead to the legendary hero Bob Goodbody about whom it is said that he saved the world from inevitable decay.
Demographics
Mostly halfling but other races sometimes settle for the easy access to halfling leaf. This often leaves them broke after a little while as halflings rarely trust outsiders enough to provide them with jobs.

Guilds and Factions
Despite the relaxed nature of its citizens there are some major organizations in Vineshade. Perehaps the largest one is the bloodleaf cartel run by Cade Tealeaf. Their main trade is in the poisonous plants found in the Hills of argon'ath which they process and sell on as many different types of drugs ranging from performance enhancing to purely recreational. Unfortunately quite a few of these are highly addictive and have been made illegal by the elves. Despite this no one in the halfling community dares stand up to them and their business is all but an open secret including the money lending schemes they use to trick people into debt and those that cannot pay are put to work until they die.
