Session 112: Welcome to Kundarak!
General Summary
As the remaining members of the Wildcards change course and turn west, the truth about Gemris' past is revealed.
As a snowy day dawns on the southern face of the Dyrnspines, the remaining members of the Wildcards are faced with a tough decision - whether to continue with their journey to disover the reagents that will revitalise Skulk, or to deviate from that path and turn west towards Kundarak, where Skulk suspects Bethadru is being held. After some debate, Gemris concedes to Skulk.
Blase, the newly discovered ally to the wildcards, seeks and receives a vision of the captive girl, but at the same time feels himself being spied upon. Sofia senses an unseen arcane eye upon the party and something probing at her mind, quickly dispelling the unseen force. Realising the growing urgency of the situation, Blase works powerful magic, teleporting the Wildcards to the outskirts of Kundarak.
At the gates to the delver Safehold, Gemris reveals her status as the second daughter of the Thane, demanding an audience. She reunites with her mother, and later is given an audience with her father, an angry and bitter deep delver.
During this audience, Gemris discovers that her sister, the heir to the throne, is missing. Sensing that this might have to do with the girl Bethadru and the presence deep below Kundarak, Gemris seeks leave to go below the city, into the lake and the crystal cavern that the Kundarites have protected for generations. The Thane refuses her request.
Taking her leave and retiring to a suite with the rest of the Wildcards, Gemris sends her animal companion out to seek out any assistance that might remain to her within the city. As the day draws to a close, the badger returns, accompanied by another creature - a snow white fox, who reveals herself as a drau elf, and a member of a secret order who is willing to trade her life to protect Ivy, Gemris' missing sister.
